Thank you to everyone who entered the giveaway this past week. We received a total of 291 entries, just shy of our target of 300 – that should make reaching our target easy this week! The two official winners of Week 8 will be announced tomorrow (Monday).
We are sad to announce that this will be the final week of our Summer Reading Weekly Book Giveaways. To thank our loyal followers and to lament the passing of summer, I have invited 7 other fantastic bloggers who are as passionate about children’s literature as we are to join us in this week’s giveaway. Each of these blogs has generously agreed to recommend three of their favorite books and to provide a lucky winner with a choice of either one of the books listed below or $15 credit (max) toward one children’s book at The Book Depository. Just Another Step to Take is the blog of a homeschooling mother and bookworm. She writes about the books her family reads, the projects they do, and her own questions about life, politics and communication.
All Done Monkey is a parenting blog that focuses on raising world citizens, natural parenting, and spiritual education. Leanna is a stay at home mother to a sweet, funny, rambunctious two and a half year old boy, with a baby on the way. She and her husband, who is from Costa Rica, are raising their little boy to be bilingual and bicultural but more importantly to be a “world citizen.” They strive to raise their little Monkey in a fun, spiritual, loving environment. “All Done Monkey” is dedicated to sharing this journey with you!
Meet Jaymie, the person behind Snacks for Max, a blog filled with insightful reviews of children’s books that she has read to her adorable toddler, Max. Jaymie is pointing out great lessons parents can teach their children from their favorite books. Aside from her past in public relations, Jaymie also have a background in journalism and the aversion to poor grammar to prove it! She is now a Social Media Publicist, she writes for her work blog as well.
Geo Librarian is a children’s literature blog, where Heidi highlights children’s books that she believes are worth sharing. Most of the books are from mainstream publishers but Heidi also highlights self-published books as well and she’s found some real gems while doing so. Heidi also sometimes highlights young adult and adult books (although most adult book reviews will be moved to her other blog (http://ldsandlovinit.blogspot.com) once traffic picks up). Heidi’s special love is for middle grade books but she also highlights picture books, early readers, and early chapter books.
Meet Gin and Anna, the mother and daughter team behind the blog, Addicted to Words. Gin is a stay-at-home Mom to 3 girls. She loves, loves, loves to read and started her blog to share with others her thoughts about books that she’s read. Recently, Gin’s 12 year-old daughter Anna has joined her Mom in reviewing some of her middle grade favorites.
Shaunna and Kim are two friends, both teacher moms, each with two children, separated by just under 2000km, blogging about the mudpies and melodies that fill their days. The two ladies behind Mudpies & Melodies share some great reads, their favorite recipes, fabulous crafting ideas, gardening tips, and various other nuggets for surviving as parents.
Ang is a mother, wife, daughter, sister, auntie, and friend who has a hundred things up in the air, all at once. Hence, the name of her blog, Juggling Act Mama! She is also a writer, crafter, scrapbooker, amateur photographer and Pinterest addict. Long before Pinterest, she was addicted to books, snapping memories of her kids, and chocolate desserts… or chocolate anything!

Each of the participating blogs will be providing one book to one winner. That means this week, there will be NINE winners.
