The Buzz About the Book
“The Escape of Princess Madeline has a little bit of everything: a strong female protaganist, teenage rebellion, young adolescent love, drama and suspense, and a touch of magic. Kirstin Pulioff did a great job creating a sympathetic character in Princess Madeline whom older tween and teen girls can root for and an adventure filled with danger. There is also a hint of a deeper mystery to be solved in relation to the exiled wizards. Pulioff leaves the reader hanging with a cliffhanger at the end of the book that hints at what is to come for Madeline. Yes! I was hooked after Book 1! FYI, my daughter also read The Escape of Princess Madeline and she says, “I really, really liked the book. I liked how Madeline made up her own mind about things – I wouldn’t want to marry someone I didn’t know especially at 16 years old. I think girls 10 years and older would like this book.” ~ Renee & Danielle, Mother Daughter Book Reviews
“Well-written, fast-paced, and entirely appropriate for its target audience (middle grade fantasy), this short but succinct novel (novella? It was maybe a little between a novella and a novel) tells a delightful tale of a naive princess who learns the real meaning of freedom. Kirsten gives her characters a sufficient amount of depth to make them genuinely likeable, and she leaves room for much, much more to come.” ~ 5 Star Review, Ally, Amazon
“An inspiring thought provoking, and wonderfully written fairy tale by an author who transports us to a time in our imagination where everything is magical and possibilities are real.” ~ 5 Star Review, kathyls, Amazon
