Lessons: How to rightly eat cookies!
What I liked and disliked about it:
Like: I LOVE dinosaurs AND cookies. I like to smell the cookies and cook the cookies and see the dinosaurs.
The characters: Dinosaurs are my favorite.
Funny parts: When the dinosaur eats the bag of chocolate chips from the BAG!
Sad Parts: not sad, happy
Pictures: They are so cute
My bottom line:
Re-read: It is my FAVORITE. I read it all the time.
Recommend: I always tell my friends about dinosaurs and cookies.
To Who: Boys AND girls, mom!
What it’s about: This is a really cute for any child who loves dinosaurs. The whimsical pictures and scratch/sniff features add more things to love. The books teaches how to eat not just cookies but table/eating manners overall. I love the added recipes for dinosaur shaped cookies. It is a great way to take the book and teach the lesson. It provides a great “recipe” for mommy & daughter quality time.
I love to see her act out the book and when I get to a part like “Does a dinosaur throw chocolate chips all around?” she shakes her finger and says, “NOOOOO!” every time.
What I liked and disliked about it: The only thing I didn’t like was the length. It is only 14 pages (board book) and takes virtually no time to read. My daughter loves this book and re-reads are necessary nightly. I’ve gotten to where I read the recipes through to add time.
My bottom line: I highly recommend this book for any child that loves dinosaurs. It’s a great way to teach eating manners and share a cute story together. The recipes are great for some quality time together and easy enough for your child to help in the kitchen!
